Have fun and learn prime numbers by making prime factor trees!
Learning prime factors is helpful in many areas of math.
For example: Prime Factors can be used to teach the concept
of greatest common factor for reducing and multiplying
or dividing fractions.
Prime
factors are also used to teach the concept of lowest
common multiple for adding and subtracting fractions.
In
addition to learning prime factors, the game will increase
the students skill level as it adapts to the childs
learning curve. This will challenge them, not baffle
them!
The
game can be played on any of six levels, where students
are given a composite number and which they learn how
to factor that number into primes.
The Prime Factor Tree game "Prime Times" is a mathematics learning program for Windows based computers. It will run on Pc's running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME or Windows XP.
